2011 Lock Your Meds Prescription Drug Awareness Campaign

Take Back Event yields 330 lbs. of Pharmaceuticals!

Manhasset CASA collaborated with the National Family Partnership for its "Lock Your Meds: Be Aware. Don't Share" Prescription Drug Misuse Public Awareness Campaign. The campaign works in partnership with the community to provide information regarding the health and safety risks of prescription medication misuse with a primary focus on keeping prescription and over-the counter pharmaceuticals away from our youth.

Working across the community, CASA partnered with the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County Police, Manhasset Public Schools, Manhasset School Community Association and the Manhasset High School's Green Club to host its 2nd Annual Pharmaceutical Take Back Event Day on Saturday, October 15th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at Manhasset High School. The successful collaboration yielded 330 pounds of pharmaceuticals!
