The house was packed to support fellow students singing, dancing and even reciting poetry at Manhasset Unplugged recently held in the Manhasset High School Auditorium.  The student sponsored talent showcase featured Manhasset High School students and raised money for the Starehe Girls Center in Nairobi Kenya. The center provides a homelike, supportive environment for Kenyan girls from disadvantaged backgrounds so they can grow toward their full potential in terms of academic and personal development.

Manhasset Unplugged’s first, second and third place winners!

The talent showcase was a success thanks to the work of many students and advisers!

Student talent was extraordinary making it very difficult deciding a winner!

Soloists, duets, trios and bands performed throughout the evening!

Countless student support for the event raised over $900 to pay for Kenyan student, Lucy Nyambura’s tuition for the 2011-2012 school year at the Starehe Girls Center in Nairobi Kenya.
